In Cambodia, there are barriers that prevent private companies from incorporating CSR into their business strategies that go beyond the money issue. Our survey suggests that 53% of business owners find it challenging to engage their businesses in community or social responsibility activities. Among the major challenges identified include the lack of information and awareness on ways to engage, lack of collaborations and participation or difficulty in collaborating effectively among relevant stakeholders, limitation in time and skill-sets, trustworthiness issues, and the lack legitimate incentive (e.g. tax deductibility, CSR grant or loan scheme, etc.).

We believe that a community of socially responsible businesses in Cambodia could be the key to sustainable and inclusive development of Cambodia and the world. We seek to mobilise the power of corporate businesses, donors, and the organizations with proven social impact to create joint impact. That’s why we offer CSR management and consulting services to corporations and companies in various industries such as finance, technology, hospitality, and manufacturing, to help them achieve not only their business bottom line, but also improving communities without compromising long-term values.  Our philosophy is simple: we believe that the future belongs to purpose-driven brands who commit to social and environmental responsibilities. For us, CSR is not just a buzzword, but a mindset. We are working with businesses and mobilize a platform that support businesses of all sizes to turn CSR into their culture and operations, making the world a better place not the owners alone, but also their employees, customers, and communities. Our Empowering Sustainable Brand Initiative aims to educate and inspire corporate enterprises to adopt the corporate sustainability model as a normative business conduct in Cambodia because it has the potential to shape a more sustainable future for Cambodia as well as the world.

By working together, more businesses can be educated on the importance of corporate sustainability and be encouraged to adopt responsible business practices. On the other hand, it’ll provide the platform for businesses to pool their resources and expertise, making it easier for individual companies to undertake unique and innovative initiatives. The community can also help businesses leverage their collective resources to create a greater impact than any one individual company could achieve alone. Last but not least, the collective voice will allow the businesses to advocate for more sustainability and inclusiveness in their respective industry as well as the society as a whole.
